I bought 8 (2 x 4 packs) of these for my 8,000lb 36'' travel trailer to stabilize it while camping. The electric stabilizing jacks on the camper didn''t seem to help much with the bouncing and sway from people walking around. Even my 10 year old daughter turning over in her bunk would cause movement. These jacks completely resolved the problem. With four on each side and space equally, there was almost zero movement.

One thing to note is that these max out at about 17", so consider that before purchasing. The frame on my camper is fairly low (about 16" from the ground), so it wasn''t a big deal for us, but it could be a problem for higher frames. I didn''t want to max out the screw, so I cut a 12 foot 2x8 into 8 inch sections to put the jacks on and that worked great. You could easily stack 4 or 5 of these blocks to gain height.

With regard to the screw being loose as some reviews suggested, this is true, but just make sure it''s nice and straight and you''ll be fine. That goes away once there is downward pressure on the jack. You should only be using these for stabilizing, so it shouldn''t be an issue. As sturdy as these feel, I certainly wouldn''t be using these to lift anything off the ground. I would highly suggest that if you use these the way I am, to circle around your camper several times and turn each jack 1/2 turn each time. This will add pressure to your frame and the jacks evenly. Do the opposite when removing them to gradually remove the pressure evenly.

I bought these jacks to help support my RV while I did some work on it. When they arrived I read the directions and they state specifically not for support of an RV. Even to the extent that “Not for RV Support” is moulded in the base of each jack.
My problem is that “Not For RV Support” is not stated in any of the online advertising for the jacks. With the rating of 6000lbs per jack and 4 jacks in a package one would assume that they should support 24,000lbs. My unit is only 9000lbs but I didn’t feel confident to use them after reading the directions.
They appeared to be sturdy and well made but “Not For RV Support” needs to be included in the online advertising.

These are perfectly fine for the price, and I like how small a space they pack into, but you need to be aware that they are small, and only really stable when used at their lowest height. Figure these will only do 11-13", and the rest of your space needs to be filled by wood blocks or bricks to be stable. Extended even a few inches taller, they have lots of play, and your RV will still be rocking... Not as much as when just on wheels and shocks, but enough to be troubling. Larger, wider, better jack stands won''t be so limited, and even an inch or two of adjustment is better than trying to use wood blocks entirely, but you''ll sure be frustrated and unsatisfied if you don''t know the limitations.

I bought four of these to supplement my trailer''s stabilizers. They definitely made a difference when I installed them after leveling out my trailer. Although it was a trial and error effort to find the best location for them.

At first I placed one in front and one in back of each axle wheel. There was still a bit if rocking. I then moved them closer ro each corner of my trailer frame. Bingo! My trailer feels very stable.

Note that these are for stabilizing purposes only and it isn''t meant to be used for lifting your trailer. It even says so right on the frame of each jack.

Bought these to help stabilize our camper. We were still having some pretty wild rocking forward and back even after blocking the wheels, so I bought these jacks. One each on the front corners of the frame (there were already stabilizer jacks at the back) made our camper rock solid, and I didn''t have to install any hardware. When done, the support comes out of the base, and the bases stack neatly so they hardly take up any space. When I got them I wasn''t even convinced there were four in the box until I opened it. Absolutely worth the money.

The stands are pretty much as described but, they do not come with a second nut to use as a jam nut or any way to lock them in to position. Also the nut that they do come with does not seat squarely into the recessed receiver portion of the the base units, and this could also possibly affect the over all sturdiness especially when they are fully extended. That brings up my next point, safety. It appears that when extended, and the end of the threaded rod is flush with the collet in the base, just under the hex nut is when the over all maximum Height of 17 inches is achieved. There is no safety stop, nor maximum height indicator on the end of the threaded, so if not careful one could easily over extend the jack stand then it will become dangerously unstable. Common sense, Right?. They do seem to be good enough to get a job done and they are affordable. I would have only given them two and a half stars if I could, so I rounded to the nearest whole number and gave them a three star. The reviews have varying answers on the base dimensions. The base is obviously square, and mine measures six and one sixteenth inches on all four sides. They are simple to assemble and a breeze to operate. Most of people already know this stuff but there are some out there who don''t, I hope this bit of information can be helpful. You should not try to adjust the jack stands while they are supporting a load. For safety and other obvious reasons place them, adjust them to the desired height, then gently, and carefully transfer some but not all of the weight of your load on to them. The safety warning that came with mine says, Do not use Stack Jack to support travel trailer. Stack Jack is intended to stabilize only." It says "Travel Trailer" But again, apply some common sense here especially if the load is extremely heavy and or if anyone could be in or on the supported load causing shifts in the weight.

You can''t beat the quality for this price. It seems nicely made. My only beef with it is, it needs a locking mechanism underneath. The threads for the screw in the base is just a big steel nut that slips into a molded receiver. The problem comes when you have to extend the screw to it''s upper limits. The assembly can get kind of wobbly because the steel nut is not firmly fastened in the base. The solution I came up with was to buy another steel nut and screw it up from the bottom once the jack is adjusted to where you want it. With a nut on both sides, it becomes solid. Because it''s hard to get your fingers up in there, I welded extension tubes on the lower nut so you can easily tighten with your fingers. It doesn''t really have to be wrench tight, just finger tight.

So on a quick trip last weekend we left these off. It was easy to see in the first few minutes that the trailer was rocking a lot more. Installed them and really noticed the difference. I highly recommend. We have a 32 foot travel trailer and these make a HUGE difference. Especially with 2 little ones jumping around. We really noticed the difference at night when someone would go to the washroom. Without these it would wake us up but now everyone stays asleep.

Says right on the package not for lifting. Yes they are good for 6000lbs but they are clearly not jack stands. Meant to be used so the 6000lbs RV, etc doesn''t wobble instead of using blocks of wood these are much nicer, easier to handle, have more uses and just look better. If you want a jack stand, go purchase a JACK STAND.

We started using these and the first few times we weren''t sure how much they were working. Even with these there was still some rocking so I wasn''t convinced.
